DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

i.Recording expenses including accrued and prepaid expenses and ensure proper treatment in financial records;

ii.Accounting for withdrawal and investment into the funds and carrying out periodic reconciliations with records of registers to ensure correct pricing of the funds;

iii.Processing accounting information in the accounting software and generating periodic accounting reports;

iv.Performing reconciliation of bank balances with book balances at month end dates;

v.Carrying out day to day activities related to accounting;

vi.Carrying out custodianship of all accounting records and correspondences pertaining to the unit assigned;

vii.Maintaining proper filing system;

viii.Performing any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the superiors.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Holder of First degree in Accounting or equivalent Qualifications or related fields from a recognized University/Institution. Knowledge on fund management business will be an added advantage.

A Minimum of two years working experience in Investment, Accounting, Banking and Financial Matters or related field is required. 

REMUNERATION: Salary Scale UTT SCALE
